Who is responsible

What is collected
- Information you submit. The quote form asks for your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code and the type of coverage you are interested in. If we then talk, you may voluntarily share household size, income range, doctors and prescriptions so that plans can be compared accurately.
- Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, this one is served through a hosting provider that logs standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp, for security and aggregate traffic statistics.
This site does not ask for Social Security numbers, bank details or payment information. Never send those through the quote form or by email.
Why it is collected
Information you submit is used for one purpose: to contact you and to research, quote and, if you choose, enroll you in insurance coverage. It is not sold, rented, or traded to third parties, and it is not used for unrelated marketing lists.
Who it is shared with
Your information may be shared only where it is necessary to do the job you asked for: with HealthMarkets Insurance Agency as the contracted agency, with the insurance carriers whose plans you ask to be quoted or enrolled in, and with the service providers that host this website and deliver its email. Those providers process data on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or by insurance regulators.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Fonts and icons are loaded from third-party content delivery networks (Google Fonts and Cloudflare), which necessarily receive your IP address in order to serve those files.
How long it is kept
Quote requests and client records are retained as long as needed to service your coverage and to satisfy the record-keeping rules that apply to licensed insurance agents. You may ask to have your inquiry deleted at any time if you did not enroll.
Your choices
- Ask what information is held about you, and ask for corrections.
- Ask for your inquiry to be deleted, subject to the retention rules above.
- Ask to stop being contacted, by reply email, by text, or by phone. That request is honored immediately.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards protect the information collected here, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Sensitive documents should be shared by phone or by a method agreed with you directly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them. Coverage for children is always arranged through a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
